The tiles are thick enough that my son doesn't bend them when he's frantically flipping them over, and the words are printed clear and big. We've played it three nights in a row as a family, and he's actually getting better at waiting his turn without grabbing.

My four-year-old asks to play this every night now, and I love that we can play it together as a family since it teaches taking turns. The matching tiles are sturdy enough for his little hands, and I've already seen him recognize a few sight words on his own.
